Teen Law School

WHAT:          The less understanding parents and teens have about the legal system the more damage that can be done. DrugFreeAZKids.org invites parents, caregivers, teachers and community members to participate in the upcoming webinar “Teen Law School Presents: The Six D’s.” Attendees will learn how to help keep their teen safe from the law from special guest, Claudia Gilburd, from Teen Law School.

The leading legal dangers facing teens and their families are drinking, driving, drugs, dating, digital drama and “dumb stuff.” This webinar will go over each legal issue and how to make sure your teen is informed.

DrugFreeAZKids.org is the leading source of information about preventing youth substance abuse. One key way of prevention is to talk early and often about the dangers of substance abuse with your children. Kids can begin to hear messages about making healthy choices as early as preschool. Participating in this webinar will help you prepare in such discussions.

The average age of first time drug use in Arizona is 13 years old. DrugFreeAZKids.org’s mission is to prevent and reduce youth drug and alcohol use through community education and awareness by providing parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, educators and others with educational tools, information and resources.
