Violins of Hope

In every major U.S. city there is a Holocaust museum where people of all faiths and backgrounds can go for education and knowledge. Except Phoenix. In schools, the Holocaust is studied from a historical perspective but not in an in- depth, comprehensive way. Providing education on the Holocaust and relating lessons of the past to present day is key to creating a future where tolerance, hope and peace are valued. Volunteers with the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix set out to bring a comprehensive education program to Arizona that would provide children, adults, educators and seniors with the opportunity to learn, connect and understand more deeply the significance of the Holocaust, the lessons learned and how these lessons apply to our world today. After nearly 18 months of negotiations, Arizona was secured as part of the Violins of Hope 2019 United States tour. HMA Public Relations was honored to serve as the agency of record for this impactful project, handling all media relations for the two-month/40+ statewide event project.
