David LandisDavid Landis, president of Landis Communications, Inc., in San Francisco and also a member of the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) , recently presented a webinar on “Critical Thinking” to the PRGN  membership.

He talked about how critical thinking is essential to effective external and internal communication and that it is an abstract concept.

He stated that a critical thinker is:

  • Open-Minded
  • Well-Informed
  • Credible
  • Analytical
  • Debate-ready
  • Asks questions
  • Formulates hypotheses
  • Considers context
  • Draws logical conclusions

Do you have those qualities?

Here at HMA, we often say, “We get paid to be smart for our clients.”  What goes unsaid is that we are critical thinkers for our clients.

  1. Abbie – thanks for the re-post. Critical Thinking has to be a daily priority and it requires time, effort and judgment. I am happy to see you spreading the word. Cheers, David
