I’ve been working in the communications industry since 2004. For nearly as long, I’ve been a volunteer and board member for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter, the professional association that puts on our regional Emmy gala, honoring the best and brightest in local television (and now digital) production.
Last night, during a swanky affair hosted by The Camby in Phoenix (as well as at sister celebrations across our region in Tucson, Salt Lake City, Flagstaff and Albuquerque), our chapter announced the 2016 Rocky Mountain Emmy nominees, the best and brightest in their field, each of whom are now eligible to take home the coveted Emmy Award at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Emmy Gala, taking place on Saturday, October 8 at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale and hosted by comedian and actor David Koechner. (Yes, from the Office and Anchorman. Check out his personal invitation to attend, in fact, right here!)
Just some of our local media buds who have been nominated this year come from such places as ABC 15, KTVK TV 3’s Good Morning Arizona, 12 News, Univision Arizona, CBS 5, FOX 10, KGUN 9, KOLD TV, Telemundo Arizona, Arizona PBS, Arizona Public Media, Arizona Game & Fish Department, Fox Sports Arizona, Arizona Cardinals Broadcast Network, Phoenix Suns Broadcasting, Arizona Republic, Salt River Project and Northern Arizona University.
Congrats to all, and good luck on Emmy Night!
