I just got back from a glorious vacation. Ten days in beautiful North Carolina. And because I was doing my best to stay unplugged during the trip, I came home to about 400 emails in my blog folder. I subscribe to quite a few blogs; most are updated on a daily basis. But the thought of reading 400 posts was a bit daunting. So the best way to determine which ones to read? Those that had the title of the blog post in the email subject line.

Which, I then realized, was not how we did it here at HMATime. So my tip today …. Include a brief description of the blog post in your subject (especially for your email subscribers) to help your readers make the determination if they’re going to open the post or not.

    Well, I only read your blog and on certain days. I really enjoy tip for tuesday and the wednesday post. Some of your other subjects are so specific to your profession that it becomes difficult to understand what you are talking about. Every profession has its own acronyms.
