Or Secretary of State?

The biggest publicity grab of the year so far has to be former NBA player Dennis Rodman and his recent visit to North Korea.

The now-apparently-self-appointed ambassador to one of the most ruthless, human-rights violating countries in the world is on the interview circuit. And it’s not just the tabloids.  Rodman has appeared on some legitimate news/talk programs, including ABC’s “This Week,” to share some of Kim John-un’s propaganda.

Rodman said one key message the North Korean dictator wanted him to share was “to have Obama call me.”

Riiiight.  To talk about what?  Freedom of the press?  Freedom of religion?  State-sponsored prison camps? Two weeks-ago’s nuclear bomb test?

I’d like the president to call me, too.

Rodman played on some great basketball teams, winning five championships -- but he wasn’t even a captain on any of them.

Credible leadership must be earned – not self-appointed.   Unless George Stephanopoulos agrees to interview you…

It’s a shame Hugo Chavez didn’t live long enough to have peace talks with the Rodman.
