Today’s Tip for Tuesday comes to us from Mari Smith at Social Media Examiner. In her article titled, “Facebook Promotions: What you need to know,” Smith explores the pros and cons of running contests on Facebook to expand your brand. As most of you know, I am a proponent of Facebook contests (see my Ireland blog), but with new restrictions, it is important to review Facebook’s new policies before you administer a contest or promotion yourself.     That’s why I stick with Twitter contests, in which I’ve won: Suns tickets, a 3-armed Snuggie, Improv tickets, free fro-yo, FBR tickets, restaurant gc’s, cab fare, coupons galore and most importantly, these bragging rights. Although I suppose a trip to Ireland is pretty significant.
