Oregon_Ducks_LogoThe college football season is now in full swing and the image of being “cool” in the sport belongs to the University of Oregon .

The Ducks are the trend-setters when it comes to having multiple uniform options with hip colors and designs.  Their mega-sponsorship deal with Nike is the catalyst.

While it may not make them play better, it does help them recruit better players.   All of the copycats prove that.

And further reinforcing this reputation is the new Nissan Heisman House commercials. Each spot features humorous scenarios that might result from the 15 former Heisman winners, including last year’s winner Marcus Mariota, sharing the same house.

In the new ad, Mariota is playing ping-pong against 1997 Heisman winner Charles Woodson. Each time the shot cuts back to Mariota, he is in another version of the Oregon uniform.  Quite clever.

Who knew that in 1988, ZZ Top was predicting the future with its Eliminator album, both on the field and in the workplace.
