If you have ever met me, you probably know that I:

A)   Talk very fast.

B)   Am really into sports.

C)   Have an obsession with sharks.

Yes, sharks.

I love them so much that in addition to watching SyFy’s Sharknado 2 three times already, I prepped myself for the viewing by watching Ghost Shark, Shark in Venice and Malibu Beach Shark Attack on SyFy to get into the right sharky state of mind.

Given this odd life-long passion, I was sad at how social media-crazed Discovery Channel’s Shark Week got last year. So much so, I detailed it here.

Well, with Shark Week 2014 kicking off August 10, I have been scouring the web looking for signs that my favorite week of the year will get back on track this year.

Oh my – did it EVER.

There is one thing I always give communications and promotional folks credit for – creativity. Living in the box – or thinking inside of it – isn’t always the best place for us.

Props to them for not only going for it – but going for it with Rob Lowe in a lifeguard uniform riding two sharks on leashes.
