JimBianchi2The debate continues – should agencies be compensated with a monthly retainer (or some kind of ongoing relationship) or should we get paid per placement.  I fall firmly on the monthly retainer side of the discussion, if for no other reason that what we provide is more than just media placements.  Strategic communications and client counseling should not be commoditized.

Obviously there must be a market for that kind of service offering or we wouldn’t see agencies such as this one that claims market domination or this one that trades celebrity access and parties for a fee.
