#MediaMonday – Ron Wolfley

Each Monday, we are posting a blog to help our readers get to know the media just a little bit better.
With a TWIST!
No, we aren’t posting story pitch tips or media lists, but instead great stories from the media themselves about their lives, their work and other little known facts! Think of it as your first “networking” opportunity of the week!
Today’s #MediaMonday comes to us from Ron Wolfley, former Arizona Cardinals pro bowler and current co-host of The Doug & Wolf Show on Sports KTAR.
So, Wolf, time to share!
What do you want to tell the blogosphere about yourself today?
I was born in Buffalo, New York and was raised by proud, hard-working parents who instilled in me the love of sports, competition and personal values. To this day, above all other accomplishments, I am most proud of and dedicated to my family and to the values I learned as a child and as a young man.
I started my NFL career being drafted by the then-St. Louis Cardinals in 1985. I went on to enjoy a 10-year professional career, eventually moving with the team to Phoenix and playing in several pro bowls.
After my playing days, I helped to coach local sports teams (including helping out at Alison’s alma mater Horizon High School) and then become the color commentator for the Arizona Cardinals. In addition, for the past three years, I’ve co-hosted a morning sports radio talk show with Doug Franz.
Most recently, I’ve gotten into the restaurant business and opened my own neighborhood grill with partners, aptly called Wolfley’s. It is located in Desert Ridge Marketplace.
My goal is to provide an exceptional menu of All-American classics based on high-quality ingredients, freshness and value. You can check the full menu – including many items named for friends, family and local sports buds – here.
Be sure to stop by and tell them Wolf sent you!
