10968375_10152818673063003_2606722526866944242_nHMA is celebrating our 35th anniversary in February and to mark that milestone, we decided to participate in Random Acts of Kindness Week #RAKWeek2015.  We gave each team member 35 one dollar bills and asked them to go out and do something nice for someone else.  The only guideline was all the money had to be spent by the end of last week.

Our team was very creative. Random acts included a $10 bill taped to a gas pump for the next customer, paying the fare for bus passengers, buying coffee for the person in line next and even buying the store clerk a PowerBall ticket and bringing toys to the animal shelter.  Some of our recipients cried, some gave us hugs and every one of them gave us a big smile.

But the best part is we inspired others to do the same.  We heard from family and friends that they also did a random act of kindness after seeing our posts about our activities.

Seems to me that any week is a good week to do something nice for someone.  Whether you are celebrating something important or not, I hope we’ll all be inspired to continue #Kindness35.  Click here to see us in action.
