If you’ve ever been asked to create a media list, than you are well aware of how intimidating it can be.

Where do I start? What tools can I use to get the best results and quickly? These are all questions I have wondered about at one point or another.

The good news—where there is a will, there is a way!

FINDERBINDERAZ (which also has a print edition), is Arizona’s very own online media directory filled with hundreds of traditional media, print and online contacts.

For the beginner it might be overwhelming, but never fear! With a few helpful suggestions and helpful tips, you will be a master of the media and FINDERBINDERAZ in no time.

First thing‘s first, if you need one contact or more, FINDERBINDERAZ can do a little or do a lot.

Some things to know:

  • You can build distribution lists
  • With our database of more 500 outlets and contacts – from traditional media to online influencers – you can target those that matter most.
  • FINDERBINDERAZ’s online database is updated daily and print edition is updated quarterly for subscribers.
  • Keyword search is available along with optional filters to allow for a more user friendly experience.
  • Option to download lists directly to your computer for quick access and later use.

To get the best results when building any media list follow these helpful tips:

Know your target

Before logging on or opening up that book, know what you are looking for and who you are going to pitch (their city, out, beat, etc.). One you know this you can develop a more effective list.

Use the filters

If you know what you’re looking for, it’s a good idea to utilize the filters to help target the contacts you need for your story. For example, if you are trying to target print in Tucson, you can run a search for that. This will help keep your lists organized.

Always ask questions

Remember FINDERBINDERAZ isn’t perfect! If you have any issues or find yourself confused, don’t be afraid to ask questions!
