We had to endure Joe Montana ending his career playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, Joe Namath wrapping up his career in a Los Angeles Rams uniform and Johnny Unitas wearing a San Diego Chargers jersey at the end of his playing days. All were wrong.
It looks like now we’ll have to watch an “unretired” Brett Favre play in something other than the Packers’ green and gold.
He retired. The Packers moved on. Now Favre is on the verge of unretiring. The Pack appears to be steadfast in their “we’ve moved on position.” And from a payroll/business decision – it’s very understandable.
So, it looks like we’ll have an all-time Packer and NFL great undo all the goodwill he’s created over his tremendous Hall-of-Fame playing career by hanging on for another year or two with a team that will likely only tarnish his legacy.
Maybe Number Four should review how Cal Ripken, Jr. left the game of baseball.

It‘s quiet in here! Why not leave a response?
