We are nearing the end of 2014, and most of us are reflecting on all the good throughout the year. We are thinking about the good “big wins” in our personal and professional lives. To me, it seems that now that we are at the end of the year, some crisis situations are getting more attention than they normally would.
There are countless stories about The Interview and who may or may not be behind the leak, as well as countless stories on Bill Cosby and things he may or may not have done. I’m not saying that these aren’t big stories, because they are, but I think they are getting a little more attention than they normally would because of the timing. As we say to our clients, timing really is everything. And it seems that it is time to freak out about everything once the end of the year hits.
What do you think? Would they be getting the same attention if this was six months ago? Or are they getting more attention because of the holidays and it being a ‘slow’ news time?
