Cronkite News Earning Major Emmy HonorEach year, the Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards look to recognize a media entity in our region for going above and beyond its telecommunications mission with the Governors’ Award.

Past recipients have ranged from technical innovations to public service programs.

This year, our HMA team – many of whom are Sun Devil alumni – are SO PROUD that @ASU’s @CronkiteNews will be awarded the Governor’s Award during the 2015 @RockyMtnEmmy Awards for Hooked , a documentary about the heroin epidemic in Arizona.

(HMA client DrugFreeAZKids.org was also involved in the documentary, providing expert insight about prevention. You can check that out here.)

Produced by Cronkite News and broadcast on every television news station the state thanks to the great efforts of partner The Arizona Broadcasters Association, both organizations will be on hand during the gala to accept the honor. In addition, the Rocky Mountain Emmy’s have also voted to honor Read Today, a massive literacy campaign headed by KSL TV in Salt Lake City, with a Governor’s Award as well.

The 2015 Rocky Mountain Emmys Awards will take place on Saturday, October 17 at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. Hosted by Anchorman and Saturday NigGht Live fan favorite David Koechner, Emmy Awards will be given in more than 90 television, production and creative communications categories during the gala.
