Thinking Pink !

Bel-Aire Mechanical, Inc., a member of the Arizona Chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA Arizona) in conjunction with Hensel Phelps, hosted a luncheon at the new University of Arizona Cancer Center construction site located in downtown Phoenix.  The entire month of October has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in keeping with the spirit, employees of Bel-Aire, Hensel Phelps and Delta Diversified Electrical all wore pink to honor every cancer patient, family member and friend who has lost the battle with cancer and provide support for the ones who continue to conquer it. Hensel Phelps is the general contractor on the project.  Bel-Aire Mechanical was selected as the design-assist contractor to furnish all HVAC, plumbing and medical gas systems. The facility will include state-of-the-art medical equipment such as Linear Accelerators, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scanning equipment. The ambiance of this new facility is deliberate and will offer a non-threatening place to learn about a very threatening disease. The project is on track for completion in September 2015.SMACNA is an international association of union contractors in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry representing 4,500 contributing contractor firms.  The organization is committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence in all facets of the sheet metal and air conditioning industry.
