The Ak-Chin Indian Community Names Keith Franklin as Information Systems Director

The Ak-Chin Indian Community is pleased to announce Keith Franklin as its information systems director. In his role, Franklin is responsible for the overall strategic plan and budget for the information systems (IS) department. In addition he will be responsible for implementation and prioritizing technological improvements to meet the Ak-Chin Indian Community’s mission and goals.

Franklin brings nearly two decades of experience including designing, developing and administering information system networks.  He previously held a similar position with the Gila River Indian Community.

“Keith has extensive experience leading an IS department and we see his skills as a tremendous asset to our Community,” said Ak-Chin Tribal Chairman Louis J. Manuel, Jr. “We are looking forward to the outstanding work that he will do for our Community.”

Franklin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif. He has experience as an information technology project manager and in developing tribal networks from the ground up.  He is also knowledgeable in Cisco networks, storage, Microsoft and VMware environments.

Franklin is a Phoenix resident.
