Students with Special Needs are Volunteering and Donating Hand-Made Pet Items to HALO Animal Rescue for National Pet Week

WHAT: National Pet Week is May 4 – 8, and in observance of this special week, vocational students at ACCEL, a private, nonprofit school for children with special needs, are volunteering and donating pet related items to HALO Animal Rescue on Thursday, May 7 from 9:15 a.m. to noon.

Not only are the students donating pet related items, such as 500 dog biscuits that were hand-made, they are also donating dog blankets and dog bowls that were also hand-made while in school.

ACCEL students have been volunteering at the HALO animal shelter for more than six years.
