Katie Watson-Cruz of Kinetic Systems, Inc., and a trustee for SMACNA Arizona, the Arizona Chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association, has been appointed to the International Training Institute (ITI) Facilities Maintenance Task Force.

The SMACNA national task force is charged with developing a comprehensive curriculum to correspond with the facilities maintenance industry.

“SMACNA is known for developing standards for the entire industry and this certainly fits into that framework of leadership,” Watson-Cruz said.   “The organization’s technical manuals are the accepted standards for sheet metal and air conditioning and they are constantly striving to update them or publish new editions to move the industry forward in the areas of new applications, new materials, safety and training.” 

In making the appointment, Vincent R. Sandusky, SMACNA’s chief executive officer, stated: “SMACNA appreciates your dedication and willingness to serve both SMACNA and the sheet metal industry.”
