Grant Thornton Appoints J. Dee Itri as Manager in National Tax Strategic Solutions Group

The Phoenix office of Grant Thornton LLP, the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International, is pleased to announce it has appointed J. Dee Itri, CPA, to manager in the National Tax Strategic Solutions group, which has a home base in the Valley. In his role, he will be responsible for supporting the tax practice’s internally developed technologies and serving as a liaison with the firm’s external tax preparation software vendor. Prior to the appointment, Itri served as a senior associate in the National Tax Strategic Solutions group. Throughout his career, Itri has had several significant accomplishments including the development of standard, Excel-based workpaper tools for Forms 990, 1040, 1041, 1120, 1065 and 5471. He has also developed a self-study Excel training program and teaches first-year tax training. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and volunteers his time with Junior Achievement of Arizona. Itri earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and Master of Accountancy degree in Tax from Brigham Young University. He is a Mesa resident.
