First-Ever Live & Local November 3 to Celebrate Best Arizona Food, Music and Spirits

One of the Valley’s newest culinary events, Live & Local presented by GoDaddy, is set to take place on Sunday, November 3rd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall.

With additional thanks to title sponsor NOVA Home Loans, in total, the event will feature over 40 local wine, spirit and restaurant tastings including:

The Grind RA Sushi Bar Restaurant Carlsbad Tavern Tryst Café Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market Four Peaks Brewery Sleepy Dog Saloon and Brewery Prescott Brewing Company

To date, the event has also lined up a specialty tequila bar thanks to Roger Clyne’s Mexican Moonshine and 3 Amigos Tequila. In addition, Blanco’s Tacos will host festive sangrias stations and The Cider Mill will be brewing their own sodas for the event as well as hosting a “float station,” where participants will be able to create one-of-a-kind desserts.

“Our goal is to celebrate the best in Arizona food, music and spirits with an extensive culinary and entertainment lineup including local restaurant and beverage partners, entertainers and more, with proceeds set to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale,” says The Grind’s Allen Thompson, who is also co-chairing the event.

The music lineup will be headlined by national recording artist Kelley James.

James’ music is a fascinating collection of acoustic guitars, hip-hop beats, thoughtful lyrics and freestyle flows. He is currently working on a new album set to be released around the same time as Live & Local. His last single, “Summertime on my Mind,” became a summer anthem and has received recognition from several viral entertainment sites including BroBible, BuzzFeed, ClevverMusic, Mashable and Tone It Up.

James has built his career on the road playing over 750 shows in the past five years. He has toured the nation with acts including Mike Posner, O.A.R., Shwayze and Joshua Radin while opening for various other artists at venues from House of Blues Chicago to Red Rocks. In 2012, he had a residency at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas directly followed a headlining tour for Patagonia in Australia.
