DrugFreeAZKids.org a program of Southwest Behavioral & Health Services to host “Examining the Teen Brain” Webinar

WHAT: “What are they thinking?” This is a common question adults often ask about teens. It is important to understand what’s going on inside the teenage brain if we want to help them grow into responsible adults.  We will examine teen brain development as well as how to support healthy decision-making.

DrugFreeAZKids.org, a prevention program of Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H), is the leading source of information about preventing youth substance abuse providing families with valuable tools to raise healthy, drug-free kids. One key way of prevention is to talk early and often about the dangers of substance abuse with your children. Kids can begin to hear messages about making healthy choices as early as preschool. This is especially important since the average age of first time drug use in Arizona is 13 years old. By participating in this webinar, we will help you prepare for such discussions.
