Arizona Gives Day Tally North of $1.34 Million; Fundraising Continues Through 11:59 p.m. Tonight

The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits (Alliance) and Arizona Grantmakers Forum (AGF) are pleased to announce that as of 3 p.m., an estimated 8,722 have donated $788,148 to nearly 1,000 nonprofits across the state through the Arizona Gives Day movement.

Presented by FirstBank, Arizona Gives Day is a 24-hour online initiative encouraging Arizonans to recognize and financially support the efforts of various nonprofits from all over the state. Arizonans can go online at www.azgives.org until 11:59 p.m. TONIGHT and pledge their financial support to the nonprofit of their choice. Last year, the initiative raised more than $1 million for Arizona nonprofit organizations.

Any 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization in Arizona was eligible to participate in the program. FirstBank committed incentive funding, which will be shared with the nonprofits that meet certain milestones throughout the 24-hour period for such things as most donors in an hour, most donors overall, etc.

Flagstaff

Children’s Chorale of Flagstaff will celebrate Arizona Gives Day with its “Taste of Music” Fundraiser at Higher Grounds Coffee House, which is located at 2 South Beaver Street in Flagstaff, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Phoenix

Support My Club will have staff and computers at Sun Up Brewing Co., which is located at 322 East Camelback Road in Phoenix, as well as at Milagro Grill, which is located at 4280 East Indian School Road in Phoenix, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to celebrate Arizona Gives Day while enjoying local beers and Mexican fare.

Prescott

Prescott Creeks will have an Arizona Gives Day celebration with food and drink at its Creeks Cabin, which is located at 1801 North Highway 89 on the Northeast Corner of Highway 89 and Rosser in Prescott, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Scottsdale

Power Paws Assistance Dogs will give a “Puppy Friendly Performance” at Bell Lexus North Scottsdale, which is located at 18555 North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, 85255, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Tucson

Watershed Management is throwing an Arizona Gives Day celebration at Tap & Bottle, which is located at 403 North 6th Avenue in Tucson, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tap & Bottle will be making a donation to the cause in honor of its guests as well.
