ACCEL Hires Dana Bailey as Director of Development and Marketing

Homeward BoundACCEL, a private, nonprofit school for children with special needs, has hired Dana Bailey as director of development and marketing. In her role, Bailey will direct both fund development and marketing communications as well as oversee all development department operations and staff.

Bailey earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism, public relations & marketing from Northern Arizona University. Prior to joining ACCEL, Bailey was the senior director of development & program strategy at Homeward Bound. She previously was the director of special events at Banner Health Foundation.

“Dana’s more than 20 years of experience working in non-profit environments coupled with her proven ability to plan, implement and oversee development, marketing communication strategies and special events is exactly what we need,” said Connie Laird, executive director of ACCEL. “We value these experiences because it leads to big-picture thinking, and creates a very proactive and strategic effort for our schools.”

Bailey is a Scottsdale resident.
