If you ask Stephanie Lough “what’s happening”, you will never know what response you will get. As an off-beat news junkie, she always knows the latest in peculiar news and is full of seemingly useless factoids. To Stephanie, there is no such thing as useless information as she believes everything has a story, or can become a story. She is always one step ahead of discovering that interesting article forwarded around the office, the latest video to go viral and up-to-date on all the juicy celebrity gossip.
Originally interested in advertising, she quickly realized she wasn’t about the “sell, sell, sell” as much as the message, meaning and relationships created by an organization. Stephanie’s passion for public relations started when she realized her knack for facts combined with her creativity could generate a buzz worthy of the masses. After completing several internships, including non-profit and local agency work, she knew that this was the ideal career choice for her. She came to HMA Public Relations, or rather, she and HMA came together through a string of coincidences, as an account coordinator ready to show the PR world she has what it takes to be a pro.
A native of Phoenix, Stephanie attended Arcadia High School, just around the corner from HMA’s headquarters. After graduating from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations, she spent some time exploring other cities, considering a scenery change. Alas, she soon realized that there truly is no place like home and she returned to the Arcadia neighborhood where she now lives, works and plays.
Motivated by her scruffy mutt, Little Monster, Stephanie hopes one day to be able to utilize her skills to promote adoption of shelter dogs and stop breed discrimination.
