A tip of the hat to the promotional team behind the new film “She’s Out of my League.”
They always say the best ideas are the simplest ones – and this simple one is the reason I am willing to fork over $10 to see the film.
Why, you ask?
Okay, the name of the film is “She’s Out of my League.” So, what does the promotional team invest in? Finding a guy who is in love with a girl…who is out of his league!
The marketing folks partnered with a nationally syndicated radio program that has anywhere from five to 20 million listeners, depending which poll you believe, and gave its beloved, fan-favorite, socially awkward media producer who is on the air each day $5,000 – with strings attached.
Namely, he HAS TO use the money on his dream girl. This caveat has been on-air fodder for more than a week – well worth the $5,000 investment and then some. The staff has encouraged him to take his dream girl to Atlantic City, direct a music video with her as the star and that’s just the ideas suitable for this blog.
It has been an instant classic bit – one that convinced me to go see the movie, if for nothing else, as a thank you to the fabulous team who put the promotion together.
